Hogan Announces School Bus Driver Training Grant
July 23, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Joe Hogan (R-Bucks) announced today that Neshaminy School District received a $38,000 grant from PennDOT’s School Bus Safety Grant Program.
Grants from the program can be used to pay for education, training, and other costs related to an individual earning his or her commercial learner's permit, commercial driver's license or school bus endorsement for the purpose of driving a school bus in Pennsylvania. They can also be used to promote and increase school bus safety and education.
“This funding will support Neshaminy School District in recruiting new bus drivers to serve throughout our community,” said Hogan. “The $38,000 will help improve both bus safety and bus reliability for students using the bus system to travel to school.”
This funding is part of a $1.1 million investment to pay for the training of more than 430 new school bus drivers, including commercial driver’s license (CDL) training; trainee wages; and testing and permit fees, across Pennsylvania.
